Classes will be located at the All Saints' Church campus which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces; classroom, movement room, playground and garden. Each day will begin with free play followed by a creative movement (or yoga class) with Lucia, emphasizing improvisational exercises and embodiment of the natural world. Next will be a snack/story time followed by an eco-art class with Ali focused on nature inspired painting, watercolor, sculpture and collage. Each day will end with nature play (playground, mud kitchen, sprinkler time) and lunch. ​

Lead Teachers:​​
​
​Lucia Rich (she/her) is a movement arts educator, yoga instructor, theater artist and mother devoted to the practice of embodiment through her personal practice and teaching for the past 20 years. Collaborations in dance, theater, clown and puppetry have taken her across the US, Canada and internationally, including Bulgaria, Turkey, Scotland, Italy, England, Germany and France. Lucia teaches yoga and movement to all ages locally in Ossining/Briarcliff and throughout Westchester. She founded Embodied Arts & Wellness in 2023.

Ali Friel (she/her) is dedicated to connecting children to the natural world, through sensory exploration and art making. She has taught studio and nature inspired art for the past eleven years. In 2023 she established a large community garden at a Nursery School , and teaches gardening and Earth Art inspired classes there. She is a mother of two toddlers. She has also taught all genres of studio art including 2-D , 3-D, watercolor, print making, sculpture, haiku, singing, sewing, jewelry, clay, and collage. In her spare time she enjoys outdoor exercise, and inventive crafts. ​

Maya Offen (she/her) is an 18-year-old rising Sophomore at Wesleyan University, where she is majoring in astrophysics. She has five years of experience working as a camp counselor at Bethany Arts Center and as a babysitter. In her free time, she enjoys playing clarinet, drawing, and painting. She is excited to be working with your kids and looks forward to a great week of art and movement!

Important Policies ​
Refund Policy: By registering your child, you are reserving a spot in a Summer Session. Because we limit our classes to small groups in order to give your child the best experience possible and spaces are hard to fill last minute, refunds are not guaranteed. Last days to receive a full refund are:

Enrollment Policy: In the event that we do not get the minimum enrollment to run a session, we will send out an email prior to the start date and you will receive a full refund (or credit towards future classes should you choose). Thank you for your understanding.
