​About Yoga & Creative Movement
Music and movement set the stage for exploration through classic children's songs, stories and games as we develop basic locomotor skills, play with simple yoga postures and introduce quality of movement concepts through embodiment of animals and elements from the natural world. We will also introduce some mindfulness through play and use fun props such as shakers, scarves, parachutes, balls and balloons! * The last few minutes of class will always be a story and caregivers are welcome to bring a snack for their child to eat at this time. Following snack/story, you are welcome to stay for a short playdate to mingle in a more casual way.  

 
About the Instructor​
Lucia Rich (she/her) is a Yoga/Wellness Instructor, SomaSource Practitioner, performing arts educator and mother of two, devoted to the practice of embodiment through her personal practice, teaching and performing for the past 20 years.  A lifelong love of movement led Lucia to train professionally in contemporary, classical, improvisational and somatic dance forms as well as many forms of Yoga. She has worked as a choreographer, movement director and educator, teaching dance, movement, physical theater and yoga to all ages in New York City and across the US, including The New School, Hunter College, Professional Performing Arts School, Perry-Mansfield School and Camp, Rocky Mountain Theatre for Kids, Actors Academy and University of Connecticut. Lucia founded Embodied Arts & Wellness in 2023.
