About Art

Experiment, collaborate, and explore a variety of art materials and techniques with a focus on drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. This after school art haven will provide kids a supportive space to decompress, learn, and create.

About Movement

Improvisational exercises and movement games unlock each child’s unique creative instinct, expanding range of movement and confidence. Participants will create original "dances", working solo, in partners and as an ensemble.

*This series will culminate in a workshop showing on the last day of class.

About the Instructors​

Lucia Rich (she/her) is a performing arts educator, SomaSource practitioner, yoga/wellness instructor and mother devoted to the practice of embodiment through her personal practice, teaching and performing for the past 20 years.  Collaborations in dance, theatre, puppetry and clown have taken her across the US and internationally, including Bulgaria, Turkey, Scotland, Italy, England, Germany and France.  She has worked as a dancer, choreographer, movement director and educator, in NYC, Westchester and beyond.

Anna Adler (she/her) is an artist, educator, cultural worker, and mother, functioning at the intersection of life and art. She maintains an interdisciplinary creative practice of image and object making, teaching, curating, and community building. Her work has been shown in a myriad of places and spaces, including NYC, Detroit, Prague, and Berlin, to name a few.

Important Details:

Dates: This is a 6 class series running Wednesdays Oct 9, 16, 23, 30 Nov 6 & 13. 

Make-up Date: If class is cancelled due to weather, teacher illness or unforeseen circumstances, a make up will be scheduled on Thursday, Nov 20th.

Minimum Enrollment: This class needs 4 participants for the series to run. ​
