Dancing Home Guidelines
1. This is a ritual space. Once you enter the dance room, let the words go as much as possible. We all hold the field together. If you see someone you want to greet, feel free to take your conversation into the hall before the dance begins.

2. Whenever possible, dance in bare feet or soft soled dance shoes/sneakers.
3. Go at your own pace. Pause, sit down or take water breaks as needed.
4. Be responsible for your own body, including knowing your limitations (such as previous injuries). It can be easy to get swept up by the energy and the music and roll past our internal cues. Always feel free to slow down or pause.

5. If you find yourself feeling awkward, self-conscious or wondering if you are "doing it right", remember that the dance is for YOU and no-one else. These feelings are normal, especially if you are new to this practice. Try to put any awkwardness or resistance into your dance and let it fuel your movement. Dance the shy, uncomfortable, frustrated or blocked dance. The same goes for your open, curious, joyful dance or the frustrated, grieving, rebellious dance. All feelings are welcome.
6. Stay for the whole session whenever possible. If you do need to leave before the closing circle, please let the instructor know beforehand and then slip out quietly.
7. Keep moving and HAVE FUN!
